The Rundown: As their enemies’ forces continue to converge, the Silverhawks go on their first mission.

After a devastating defeat at the hands of Mon*Star, the former Silverhawks return to their base with the survivors including the twins and the young boy from the planet of the Mimes. As Will lies severely injured, his sister reveals their connection and Stargazer determines that the only way to save Will is to turn both siblings into Silverhawks. At the same time, the young Mime decides to take matters into his own hands when he is refused the opportunity to help.
On another planet, two of Mon*Star’s minions go on a mission to retrieve something special for their boss when the newly created Silverhawks arrive. As the new team finds itself moderately successful in the battle, Yes-Man escapes and the Silverhawks are told that a bigger war is coming against Mon*Star and no one can stop it.
The Story: Brisson is setting up some great stuff in this issue and in the series itself. I like the different directions the plot and characters go as they come together and this issue sets up not only some great team and interpersonal dynamics, but also a threat to both Mon*Star and the Silverhawks that I am excited to see explored.
The Art: Kambadais creates some beautiful art throughout the issue. The visuals are fun, beautifully detailed and filled with great action.
